This perspective is written with emphasis on James Morrison, a Scot, who was the boatswain’s mate on HMS Bounty at the time of the mutiny. The account tries to understand Morrison’s personality and his part in the happenings, from his being court martialled and found guilty, to his eventual reprieve.
