Ar Baile

For eighteen years, Christina Macdonald was the sole teacher at Skigersta School in North Lewis. Pupils from five school years. One Classroom. She wrote poems in Gaelic about local life and people to give the children a sense of their heritage in both lifestyle and language.

Set to music by her son Donnie, these are her poems – her legacy.

The book includes lyrics and background information about the poems/songs and about Christina herself in both Gaelic and English.
